Created and juried into the Calgary Stampede 2017 Western Art Showcase.  This piece is again, based on Calgarys historic past.  The Calgary Tower was built in 1967 to make a hub of the CN Rails landholdings east of 9th Avenue.  The railway that goes right through the city has seen many changes but it still moves commercial freight in and out of our city.  This view is no longer visable, the C-Trail now runs where this stunning sight was seen from.  I walked it every day to work and am glad that I was able to capture it before it was gone !
